All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Myrtle Barfield Smith - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post October 4, 2007 Services for Myrtle Barfield Smith will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah with the Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Friday until the hour of service at the funeral home. Mrs. Smith died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007. She was 97. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. "Teber" Smith; a son, Edward A. Smith; two daughters, Rita S. Ervin and Annette S. Laird; and a sister, Thelma B. Frost. Survivors include four grandchildren, Ira A. Ervin of Vicksburg, David H. Ervin of New Orleans, Debbie L. Lourens of Germantown, Tenn., and Alicia E. Nolan of Charlotte, N.C.; and six great-grandchildren, Pallbearers will be Ira A. Ervin, David H. Ervin, Tony Lourens, Colin Lourens, Tyler Lourens and Bill Querry. Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Nolan, Alex Nolan, Michael Nolan and Dr. James E. Wall.
