Smith - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Orange County (CA) Register, December 5, 2010 Smith, William K. Bill was born November 13th, 1925 in Tallulah, Louisiana, the son of Joseph Clinton and Willie Cagle Smith. He passed away peacefully on November 19th, 2010 at his home in Irvine, Calif. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; four daughters, Robin, Leilani, Tracy and Stacey; grandchildren, Christopher, Erin, Nicholas, Hannah and Avalon; as well as by his three sisters, Bobby, Dixie and Lorraine. He had two sons in law, Jim and Tim. Bill will be remembered most for his selfless devotion to his family, wit and humor. He was an Eagle Scout, served in the US Navy, and graduated from USC in 1948. He wrote beautiful songs, and loved singing, dancing, writing, and telling jokes. He will be buried at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego.
