All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Louise Richards Speed - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, June 23, 1967 Funeral Services Held For Mrs. Geo. Speed Tuesday Louise Richards Speed, died Monday afternoon, June 19, 1967 after a lengthy illness. She has been a patient of Madison Parish Hospital the past six months, under the constant care of a devoted husband and family. She married George G. Speed, in Dallas, Texas on Christmas day 1928, and they have made their home in this community most of the time where they both have been active in the Methodist Church. Mrs. Speed was 61 years at the time of her death, and was survived by her devoted husband George G. Speed, a daughter, Mrs. John Cupit of Tallulah, another daughter, Mrs. James W. Nobles of Ruston, La. and one son, Robert Speed of Monroe, La. and six grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Mrs. Lela Mae Coleman of Tallulah. Funeral services were held in the Tallulah Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon at four o'clock, with the Rev. Clark Bell officiating and interment was in Silver Cross Cemetery, with the Rev. R. A. McKnight a former minister here, now of Rayville, La. assisting in the graveside services. Pallbearers were: Judge C. C. Adams, Mr. J. C. Sherwin, Mr. Wayne Harkey, Mr. Bob Graves, Mr. Max McDonald and Mr. Jesse Anderson.
