W. Spencer Held Here Monday Funeral services were held at 10 a. m. Monday for Charles William Spencer, 64, who was a former member of The Madison Parish School Board. Mr. Spencer died Sunday night in a Vicksburg, Miss., hospital following a heart attack. He was a plantation owner and cattleman, having moved to Tallulah 35 years ago. He had lived in Vicksburg for the past two years. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Services were held at Young's Funeral Horne Chapel with the Rev. John McCall officiating. The body was taken to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at Pleasant Grove, Miss., for services at 3 p. m., and burial in the cemetery there. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Shaw Spencer; two daughters, Mrs. Bill Beanland, Vicksburg, Miss., and Mrs. Clavin Dunbar, Maryville, Tenn.; four sisters, Mrs. Granville Ligon, Mrs. John Odom, Mrs. John Black, all of Grenada, Miss., and Mrs. Rex Phillips, Calhoun County, Miss., and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ralph Loe, Lamar T. Loe, Albert Sevier, Phil Grimes, G. M. Fuller and Dr. H. S. Provine.
