All rights reserved. *********************************************************************************************** Lelia Spencer - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Monroe Morning World June 12, 1960 TALLULAH (Special) — Mrs. Lelia Spencer, 91, died in a Newellton hospital Saturday morning following a brief illness. A native of Baton Rouge, she had lived in Tallulah until 1946 when she went to live with her daughter, Mrs. G. C. Goldman in Waterproof. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. today at the Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William S. Spillman officiating and interment will be in the Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers. She is survived by her son, Mason Spencer, Tallulah; one daughter, Mrs. G. C. Goldman, Waterproof; one sister, Mrs. Henry Fuqua, Tallulah; two grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Peter Hayes, Harry Goldman, S. D. Watson, J. U. Duhe, Cliff Adams, Henry Sevier Jr., Warren Patrick, and Walter Scott.
