Samuel David Stamey, Sr. Madison Parish, LA From Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home January 15, 2016 Funeral services for Rev. Samuel David Stamey, Sr., age 92, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 16, 2016, at the Lighthouse Independent Baptist Church in Vicksburg, Ms., with Rev. Donnie Clark officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 P.M., Friday, January 15, 2016, at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah, La., and burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Vicksburg, Ms. Mr. Stamey died at his residence in Tallulah after a sudden illness Thursday, January 14, 2016. He was born in Tunica, Ms., and had lived in Tallulah for 65 years. He was a retired Baptist pastor and service station owner. Survivors include three sons, Samuel D. Stamey, Jr. of Texas, Jimmie D. Stamey of Mississippi, and Charles Lee Stamey of Tallulah, La., two daughters, Martha Stamey of Tallulah, La., and Francis King of Mississippi, nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and one sister, Flurett Asburn of Myrtle, Ms. Pallbearers will be men from the Lighthouse Independent Baptist Church.
