All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Alma Cole Stewart - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal October 8, 1970 Mrs. Alma Stewart succumbs at age 88 Mrs. Alma Cole Stewart, 88, died Saturday at the Delta Haven Nursing Home here after a long illness. Graveside services were at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Stewart Cemetery in Gibsland with the Rev. Crawford Williams officiating. A native of Sailes, Mrs. Stewart had been a resident of Madison Parish for 34 years. She was a member of the Sypress Springs Baptist Church of Sailes. Survivors include two sons, J. Frank Stewart of Sondheimer and Ernest H. Stewart of Tallulah: a sister, Mrs. Clara Guice of Bossier City; three brothers, Loyce Cole of Bossier City, Don Cole and Paxton Cole both of Gibsland; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were W. J. Wilson, Pete Russell, M. N. Batchelor, Gus Eaker, Lonan Byrd and Clinton Givens.
