TALLULAH — John R. Sturdivant died Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, at Olive Branch Senior Care 
Center in Tallulah. He was 98.

Born in Crowville, La., Mr. Sturdivant had lived in Tallulah for more than 60 years. 
He was a retired manager of a convenience store and was a member of First Baptist Church 
of Tallulah and Tallulah Masonic Lodge No. 308.

His wife, Ollie Mae Sturdivant, preceded him in death.

Survivors include a son, Jim Sturdivant of Birmingham, Ala.; a daughter, Janet S. 
Richardson of Monroe; a brother, Bradley Sturdivant of Delhi; and four grandchildren. 

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Rushing 
officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of 
Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.

His grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
