All rights reserved. ************************************************ Richard Keith "Ricky" Sykes - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post, February 22, 2005 TALLULAH - Richard Keith "Ricky" Sykes died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, in Pineville, S.C., from injuries received in a motorcycle accident. He was 47. Born in Delhi, Mr. Sykes was a resident of Tallulah. He was in the construction industry and was a certified millwright. He attended First Baptist Church of Tallulah. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Dee "Cadillac" Sykes. Survivors include his wife, Darlene Stone Sykes of Tallulah; his mother, Dorothy Goldsmith of Vicksburg; two sons, Richard K. "Little Ricky" Sykes Jr. of Queen City, Texas, and Christian M. "Scooter" Sykes of Tallulah; four daughters, Candace Tribble of El Dorado, Ark., Breanna Jones of Queen City, Crystal Barrow of Bastrop, La., and Erika Busby of Tallulah; two brothers, Stevie Sykes of Tallulah and Jamie Goldsmith of Vicksburg; two sisters, Lissa Cherene of Tallulah and Tina Goldsmith of Marshall, Mich.; nine grandchildren; and other relatives and friends, including Denna Dye. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. John W. Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 tonight at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Stevie Sykes, Ricky Sykes Jr., Loyd Moore, Larry Jones, Eddie Mahoney and Mac McCarty. Honorary pallbearers will be Aron Wallace, James Harvey, Anthony Scardino, Carl Tarver, Stan Isbell, Ricky Ogden and Jason Willhite.
