All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Avis Effie Tarver - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal March 11, 1998 Funeral services for Mrs. Avis Effie Tarver age 86, of Tallulah, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 8, in the chapel of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. John Rushing and the Rev. Mike Howard officiating. Burial followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah. Mrs. Tarver died Friday, March 6, 1998, in the Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah after a lengthy illness. She was born in Kosciusko, Miss., and had lived in Madison Parish about 40 years. She was a housewife and a member of Parkview Baptist Church of Tallulah. Survivors include three sons: Norman Tarver, Robert Tarver and Carl Tarver, all of Tallulah; three daughters: Jean Stuart of Transylvania, Barbara Mathews of Natchitoches, and Mary Westmoreland of Tallulah; one sister: Levy Keyes of Clinton, Miss.; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Loyd Moore, Ed Rushing, Bide Brown, Artie Skeldon, Wayne King and Al Horath. Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
