Taylor - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, May 31, 1984 Alvin S. Taylor, 57, died Xxxxxday at his residence after a short illness. Services were at 2 p.m. Xxxxxday at First Baptist Church in Tallulah with the Rev. David Lawrence officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah under direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. A native of Crystal Springs, Miss., he had lived in Tallulah for 25 years. He was a retired mail carrier, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Erma Taylor of Tallulah; a son, Stan Taylor of Oak Grove; a daughter, Mrs. Paula Moseley of Memphis, Tenn.; a brother, James Taylor of Pearl, Miss.; mother, Mrs. Irene Taylor of Tallulah; two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Charles Weeks, James Morse, Nolan Smith, A. L. Harvey, Leland Walters and Ira H. Ervin.
