All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Mamie Wehby Thomas - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal January 5, 1994 Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie Wehby Thomas, 92, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Edward Catholic Church with Rev. Silvin Waterkotte officiating. Burial was at Silver Cross Cemetery under direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Mrs. Thomas died Friday in Spring, Tex. She was a native of Lebanon and had lived in Tallulah for the past 38 years. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Edward Catholic Church. Survivors include three sons, Edward Shamis of Slidell, Dr. Mack Thomas of New Orleans and Gene Thomas of Spring; two sisters, Bena Arban of Peachtree, Ga. and Mary Cannon of Monroe; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Abboud Thomas, Charles Thomas, Najeeb Thomas, Gene Thomas Jr., Ed Shamis Jr. and Kevin Guth. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis.
