ANNA THOMPSON DIES HERE SUNDAY Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Wells Thompson, who died at Stevens Clinic here Sunday night, were held from the Methodist Church here Monday morning with the Rev. W. H. Gilies of Bastrop officiating, assisted by Rev. D. W. Poole of the local church, and Rev. H. N. Alexander of the Presbyterian Church. Members of all the church choirs of Tallulah rendered special music for the services and the Tallulah High School was dismissed for the hour. Interment was in the Natchez cemetery. Mrs. Thompson, a native of Poseyville, Indiana, had resided for a number of years in Tallulah where she was prominent in musical circles. She was a member of the Christian Church and of the Order of Eastern Star. For the past four years she has been matron at Jefferson College, Washington, Miss. She is survived by her daughter, Miss Louise Thompson, a member of the faculty of the Tallulah High School, and a brother, David R. Wells, of Dayton, Ohio.
