Jan. 5, 1931 - July 10, 2010

Fay Thompson, 79, of Vallejo passed away Saturday following a brief illness. He was born in Tallulah, La.

Fay served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked as a component cleaner at Mare Island for 25 years, retiring in 1989.
Fay enjoyed doing yardwork.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Thompson.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Audrey Thompson; and sons, Reggie Fay Jr. and Dwayne Thompson, all of Vallejo.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. today,

July 14, at Wiggins-Knipp Funeral Home, 524 Capitol St., Vallejo. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 15, at Union Baptist Church,
128 Encerti Ave., Vallejo. Burial will be at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon.
