Thompson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal March 18, 1949 Mrs. M. Thompson Pisses Away At Age Of 83 Miss Minnie M. Quigley was born October 28, 1865 near Bloomfield, Iowa, and passed away March 9, 1949 in Tallulah, La., at the age of 83 years, 4 months, and 9 days. In early girlhood she became a Christian and was faithful in attending church as long as her health permitted. She was united in marriage to William Printest Thompson Sept. 2, 1885 and to this union 10 children were born. Her husband and six children preceded her in death. She is survived by one brother, George Quigley, of Unionville, Mo., three daughters, Mrs. Hilton Russell and Mrs. Bina Marchi of near Tallulah, and Mrs. George Pebbles of Mountain View, Ark., and one son, Joe E. Thompson, of Boyce, La. Also 19 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 9:30 at the Willow Bayou Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. James Carpemter. She was laid to rest in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home of Tallulah. Pallbearers were : James Hetland, Sanford Parker, Winfred Parker, William Oldham, Claybourne Ashley and Bernard Cox.
