All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Ophelia Ammons Thompson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post August 20, 2007 TALLULAH - Ophelia Ammons Thompson died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, at her home in Tallulah. She was 83. Mrs. Thompson was born in Greenville and had lived in Tallulah for more than 75 years. An artist, she was a retired bookkeeper and accountant. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church of Tallulah. She is survived by one daughter, Adolphine Carole of Mountainair, N.M.; one son, Chris Friis of Tallulah; a brother, Robert Lee Ammons of Shreveport; a sister, Betty A. Brown of Jackson; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Bill Echols officiating. A reception will be in the fellowship hall of the church Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the service. Memorials may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church in Tallulah.
