All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Billy Ezra Thornton - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post, April 25, 2012 TALLULAH — Billy Ezra Thornton died Monday, April 23, 2012, at Madison Parish Hospital. He was 61. A lifelong resident of Tallulah, Mr. Thornton was a retired farmer and member of Parkview Baptist Church. He served in the Air Force. He was preceded in death by his father, William Joseph Thornton; his mother, Eloyse Machen Thornton; and a grandson, Brandon Scott Thornton. Survivors include his wife, Janice Remore Thornton of Tallulah; three daughters, Amy Lauren Faulkner and Christy Marie Shelton, both of Tallulah, and Melonie Nicole Blake of Delhi, La.; two brothers, David Brown of Shreveport, La., and Bubba Thornton of Pioneer, La.; two sisters, Kathy Barbo of Keithville, La., and Letha Newell of Natchez; and 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Parkview Baptist Church with the Revs. Clifton Wheat and Johnny Magnuson officiating. Burial with Masonic rites will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the church from 5 until 8 tonight. Pallbearers will be Duane Brown, Rusty Hicks, Clint Johnson, Dusty Butler, Wayne Yates and Lee Musgrove. Honorary pallbearers will Donnie Remore, Danny Remore, Billy Joe Remore, Joe Magnuson, John Magnuson, Willie Remore, Kyle Remore, Billy Bob Remore and Wayne McKnight. Memorials may be made to the Janice Thornton Account at Cross Keys Bank in Tallulah.
