All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Ezra Thornton - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal August 13, 1965 Services For Ezra Thornton Held On Friday Funeral services for Ezra Thornton, 44, who died in a Jackson, Miss, hospital Thursday of last week after a short illness, were held Friday at 4 P. M. in the chapel of Crothers Funeral Home with the Rev. George Smith officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Letha Thornton; two sons, Herman, Ft. Rucker, Ala., and Billy of Tallulah; a daughter, Mrs. Albert Newell, Tallulah, two brothers, Joe and Herman, Jr., both of Tallulah, a sister, Miss Wilma Thornton; and one grandchild. Pallbearers were Charles Newell, Luman Byrd, Luke Wilkins, Marian Smith, Armon Cox and Winfred Parker.
