Thornton - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, April 15, 1987 Funeral services for Mr. Thomas O. Thornton, 44, were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Robinson officiating. Burial followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah. Mr. Thornton died last Tuesday night in the East Carroll Parish Hospital in Lake Providence after a sudden illness. He was a native of Ohio and had been a resident of Tallulah for the past four years. Mr. Thornton was the owner and operator of T&T Variety Mart. He was a Navy veteran of Vietnam, a member of the Baptist faith and a member of American Legion Post No. 100. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Tina Thornton of Tallulah; two sons, Dwayne Thornton of Bastrop and Shannon Thornton of Tallulah; one daughter, Mrs. Debbie Davis of Vicksburg: and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Thornton of Pioneer two sisters, Virginia Faler of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Leslie Tatum of Newport Richey, Fla.; five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
