All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** John Edward Toney Sr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal April 7, 1999 Funeral services for Mr. John Edward Toney Sr., 71, were held Friday, April 2, in the chapel of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah, with Rev. Don Rayburn officiating. Burial followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah. Mr. Toney died Tuesday. March 30, In the Madison Parish Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born in lake Providence and had lived in Tallulah for 30 years. He was a construction worker and an Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Margaret D. Toney. Tallulah; three sons, Edward Toney, Jackson, Miss., John Toney Jr., Tallulah, and Mark Toney. Delhi; one daughter, Marilyn Osborn, Tallulah: honorary children, Jerry and Laverne Strong, Tallulah: four brothers, Faynell Toney, California, Huey P. Toney, Lake Providence, Joe Toney, Lake Providence and Willie Toney, Morton, Miss.; two sisters, Ruth D. Williams, Tallulah, and Beatrice Kennedy, Miss.; 10 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
