Travis - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, July 26, 1989 Funeral services for Mr. Willard G. Travis, 63, were held at noon Saturday in the Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Johnson officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Travis died Friday at the Madison Parish Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was a native of Arkansas and had been a resident of Tallulah for the past 21 years. He was a veteran of World War II, a former member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a retired electrician and a member of the Pentecostal faith. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lois W. Travis of Tallulah; one daughter, Susie Reece; his mother, Mrs. Eura P. Muldin of Tallulah; three brothers, James E. Travis of Lufkin, Tex., Edward E. Travis of Memphis and William E. Travis of Tallulah; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Chester Carrier, Joe Long, Donnie Remore, Leo Watson, James Rinicker and Arnold Eason.
