All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Reverend Joel Cavileer Treadwell - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal October 28, 1992 A memorial service was held Saturday, Oct. 17 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Austin, Tex. for Reverend Joel Cavileer Treadwell. Arrangements were under direction of Weed-Corley Funeral Home. Rev. Treadwell died Oct. 15 at the age of 62. Rev. Treadwell, former priest at Trinity Episcopal Church in Tallulah, had also served churches in McGregor, Tex., Hereford, Tex. and Natchitoches. He retired to Austin nine years ago and was a member of the St. John's Episcopal Church. He was past president of the West Austin Lions Club and an active member of the Mended Hearts. He attended the University of Texas and graduated from Northwestern State University. He graduated from the Virginia Theological Seminary in 1955. Survivors include his wife, Janice Treadwell of Austin; one son, Joel Collins Treadwell of Alexandria; two daughters, Mary Jan Treadwell of Austin and Martha Jill Treadwell of San Diego, Calif.; his mother; Myrtle Lee Treadwell of Austin; three brothers, Dr. Wilbur C. Treadwell, Dr. Morris H. Treadwell and Dr. John C. Treadwell, all of Austin; two grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the St. John's Episcopal Church.
