James was born April 6, 1941, in Tallulah, La., and was a 43-year resident of Nevada. James was a loving father, husband and friend. He was a founder of St. Mark's Lodge #15 F. & A. M. which later split to become Phillip E. Bell Jr. Lodge #5. He was also was a member of the Nathan Scott Sr. Lodge #7 F. & A. M. James enjoyed spending time with family and barbecuing. James leaves to cherish his memories, one brother, Robert Christian; two sisters, Luberta Christian and Dorothy Christian Halloway; two sons, James and Michael Johnson; one daughter, Valerie Dykes; and one stepdaughter, Rhonda Johnson. Viewing will be from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 25, at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. The burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
