She was 76. A lifelong resident of Tallulah, Mrs. Turpin was a homemaker. She is survived by four daughters, Lois Turpin of Tallulah, Linda Nunley Anderson of Vicksburg and Sharon Finley Cowart and Karen T. Washington, both of Monroe; two sons, Melvin Turpin of Las Vegas and Larry Turpin of Arlington, Texas; 24 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church No. 2 in Tallulah. Burial will will follow at Morning Rest Memorial Gardens in Tallulah under the direction of Funerals by McFarland of Delhi, La.
