S. Agee Home Mrs. Columbia Sevier Utz, 72, died Sunday morning at the home of her sister, Mrs. J. S. Agee, after a brief illness. Born at Buena Vista, in Jefferson County, Miss., on February 17, 1870, she was the daughter of pioneer Mississippi residents. Moving to Louisiana at an early age, she was married in 1891 to Willard H. Utz, prominent Madison Parish planter. They had one son, Merric Abbe Utz. Mrs. Utz spent her married life in Madison Parish. After the death of her husband, and her son's death, she lived for many years in Vicksburg. Funeral services were held Monday, February 2nd, at three o'clock from the home of her sister, Mrs. Fred Young, Baum St., Vicksburg. Rev. J. Dean Maurer of Tallulah Episcopal church officiated, assisted by Rev. H. N. Alexander, of the Presbyterian Church of Tallulah and Rev. W. F. Mansell of the Vicksburg Presbyterian Church. Pallbearers were: Don Sevier, Curtis Agee, Stanton Bettis, J. N. Harvey and Perry Folk, Sr., Allan Nadler of Plaquemine, La., Theodore Young, George Sudduth, Gann Williamson and J. F. Aicklen of Vicksburg. Interment was in Vicksburg Cemetery, Fisher Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Utz is survived by four sisters, Mrs. T. F. Young, and Mrs. A. C. Williamson of Vicksburg, Mrs. J. S. Agee and Mrs. W. J. Ward of Tallulah, and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. A. J. Sevier, Tallulah, and Mrs. A. V. Utz of Starkville, Miss.
