Varnado - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal July 10, 1991 Funeral services for Mr. William H. Varnado, 64, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Rushing and Rev. James Johnson officiating. Graveside services and burial were at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery near Caseyville, Miss. Mr. Varnado died Saturday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Jackson. He was born in Copiah County, Miss. and had lived in Tallulah for 33 years. He was a retired salesman for Cotton Brothers Bakery. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion Post No. 100 and a member of the First Baptist Church of Tallulah. Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Case Varnado of Tallulah; one daughter, Cindy Varnado Boykin of Grenada, Miss.; one foster son, Ralph L. Case of Louisville, Miss.; one brother, Wilnon Varnado of Chapel Hill, Tenn.; two sisters, Christine Jabour of Vicksburg and Pauline Goza of Union Church, Miss. and one grandson. Pallbearers were George Jabour Jr., J. D. Barksdale, Sammy Butler, Wayne Smith, Jerry Smith, Feron Smith, Housely Varnado and Aaron Johnson. Honorary pallbearers were Donald Neumann, Will Hattaway, Eddie Hattaway, Benny Holloway, Pete King, Harold Ogden, Talbert Williams, Ralph Dowe and Bink Dunn.
