All rights reserved. ************************************************ Catherine Poole Wallace - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Baton Rouge Advocate, July 28, 2012 Graveside services for Catherine Poole Wallace, 87, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana will be held Sunday July 29th at 5:00 PM at Hasley Cemetery, West Monroe, Louisiana. Scott Caldwell will be officiating under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Mrs. Wallace was born in Mer Rouge, Louisiana on February 7, 1925, and was raised in Tallulah, Louisiana. She passed away in Baton Rouge on July 26, 2012 following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dytmus and Della Poole; husband, J. C. Wallace; and many brothers and sisters, too numerous to name. Mrs. Wallace was grounded in faith and community service. She served as a pastor's wife for over 20 years across the state of Louisiana. She was primarily a home maker and raised two children mentioned below. Mrs. Wallace also gave much of her personal time to a nursing home ministry. Mrs. Wallace is survived by her son, Greg Wallace and his wife Denene; daughter, Melanie Wallace Frazier; grandson, John Thomas "J.T." Frazier III; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the National Alzheimer's Association, Louisiana Chapter - www.alz.org. Visitation will be on Sunday afternoon July 29th from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe, Louisiana.
