Wallace - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Evening Post April 9, 1949 TALLULAH MAN IS STRICKEN TODAY IN RESTAURANT E. E. Wallace Dies Before Reaching Medical Attention TALLULAH, La. April 9 - E. E. Wallace, 66, retired planter of Madison and East Carroll parishes, died suddenly this morning following a heart attack in a Tallulah restaurant. Mr. Wallace was stricken about 6 o'clock this morning as he entered the restaurant. He died before he could be taken home. Mr. Wallace had operated plantations in Madison and East Carroll parishes for the past twenty-seven years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillian Wallace of Tallulah; five daughters, Mrs. Florence Hargon of Tallulah, Mrs. Ruth Rafferty of Memphis; Mrs. Jeannie Ray of Aberdeen, Miss., Mrs. Pauline Belott of Tallulah, Mrs. Mary Pope of Springhill, La., and Mrs. Virginia Vanderhoot of Tallulah; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Fred Wallace of Mauldin, Missouri, and L. G. Wallace of Charleston, Miss., and two sisters, Mrs. Annie Morgan of Jackson, and Mrs. Clyde Crenshaw of Grenada. Although arrangements are incomplete complete, the funeral will be held Monday in Tallulah, with burial in the Lakewood Cemetery at Jackson. Dr. D. L. O'Neill of the Presbyterian Church in Ruston will officiate.
