Wallace - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, April 19, 1957 Mrs. E. E. Wallace Dies Monday In A Vicksburg Hospital Mrs. Lillie P. Wallace, widow of the late E. E. Wallace, prominent plantation owner of this area, died late Monday afternoon in a Vicksburg hospital. A native of Madison, Miss., Mrs. Wallace had resided in Tallulah for the past 35 years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Tallulah and had served in executive capacity in women's work at the church since 1922. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 10 a. m. at the Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Arthur Strickland officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home in the Lakewood Cemetery in Jackson, Miss. Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. P. F. Hargon, Mrs. Don Belott, and Mrs. Virginia Vanderhoot, all of Tallulah; Dr. Ruth Rafferty, and Mrs. R. C. Roy, both of Memphis, Tenn.; Mrs. J. G. Pope, Charleston, Tenn.; and 11 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Rufus Yerger, Ned Levee, R. G. Long, A. H. Willett, John Simpson, and C. T. Crow.
