Wall - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, July 29, 1955 Dr. James A. Wall Dies At Home Friday Morning Dr. James A. Wall, 56, local optometrist, died Friday morning at his home after a long illness. He had been a resident of Tallulah for 17 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, a charter member of the Lions Club, a Mason and recently received his 25-year membership award and was a veteran of World War I. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at four o'clock at the first Baptist Church with the Rev. Irvin Cheney officiating. Burial followed in the Masonic Cemetery in Delhi with Masonic rites at the graveside. Crothers Funeral Home was in charge. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Wall; a son Jimmy Wall of Ames, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. Carrie May Haper of St. Joseph, and Marcia Wall of Tallulah; four grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Alice Simmons of Epps, La. Pallbearers were Ben G. Copes, Lonnie L. Copes, W. T. Copes, E. H. Copes, Marion Smith and J. E. Furr, Sr.
