L. Ware Funeral Held Here April 4th Funeral services for Mr. Ernest Lee Ware, who died Monday, April 3rd at the Madison Sanitarium, following a cerebral hemorrhage in the Tallulah State bank Saturday morning, were held here Tuesday afternoon, March 4th. He was 61 years old. Mr. Ware, who was paymaster for the E. Sondheimer Co. for 28 years, was born in Monroe County, Aberdeen, Miss. He was a veteran of World War I, a member of Scott-Nichols-Voak American Legion Post No. 100, and a member the Pecan Grove Masonic Lodge No. 222, which recently presented him an award in recognition for continuous membership of 25 years service. He was also a member of the Baptist church. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Chapel of Crothers Funeral Home with the Rev. J. C. Dennis, of Sondheimer Baptist Church, and the Rev. J. F. Kilpatrick, pastor of the Tallulah Methodist church, officiating. Burial followed Thursday morning in the Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery of Aberdeen, Miss., with members of the Aberdeen Masonic Lodge as pall bearers. Masonic rites were conducted at the cemetery. Mr. Ware is survived by one brother, Earle Ware, of Aberdeen, Miss.; two sisters, Miss Corinne Ware New Orleans; Mrs. Kathleen Stearnes, Tampa, Fla.; 2 nieces, 1 great niece, and 1 great nephew.
