(Dick) Ware III - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal June 13, 1990 Funeral services for Mr. Richard N. (Dick) Ware III, 65, of Monroe, were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael McLaurin officiating. Burial was in Arcadia Cemetery. Mr. Ware died Saturday at St. Francis Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Ware was born in Blytheville, Ark and was raised in Tallulah. He was a pilot with over 35,000 hours in 59 different types of aircrafts including 18 different military aircraft. He served as a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942-1945 during World War II with the rank of captain. After his duty in the Air Force, he flew commercially for McMahon Flying Services. Mr. Ware was a life member of the American Legion and Past North Moose of the Moose Lodge. He was also active in the travel agency business in Monroe and Ruston. Mr. Ware was co-producer of the Miss Universe Pageant for Louisiana and a graduate of Louisiana Tech University. Survivors include one son, Judge Richard Ware IV of Coushatta; one daughter, Lea Ware Akin of Saudi Arabia; two granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Willis Warner; Dick Chenault, Gerald Jones, Robert Cook, Jack Dunn and Jerry Akin. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Danna and Junior Abrahm.
