Watson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, August 11, 1983 Charlie D. Watson, 75, died of injuries received in an automobile accident south of Xxxxxx. Services were at 2 p.m. at Parkview Baptist Tallulah with the Revs. Xxxx Xxxxinson and Alton Hodnett officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park in Monroe under direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mr. Watson was a native of Xxxxx and a resident of Tallulah st 31 years. He was a heavy-equipment operator for the Madison Parish Police Jury and a members of the Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Watson of Tallulah; seven sons, J.C. Watson and Virgil Watson, both of Monroe, Theo Watson, Leo Watson and Morris Watson, all of Tallulah, Cliff Watson of Berwick and Shelby Watson of West Monroe; four daughters, Mrs. Shirley Turner of West Monroe, Mrs. Linda Carter of Tallulah, Mrs. Kathy Jordan of Columbia, Miss., and Mrs. Virginia Hornbeck of DeWitt, Ark.; two brothers, Jewell Watson of Little Rock, Ark., and Rube Watson of Jena ; three sisters, Mrs. Roy Westbrooks and Mae Watson, both of Jena, and Mrs. Gore Hodge of Nederland, Texas; 21 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
