Watts Sr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, March 4, 1976 Funeral services for John C. Watts Sr., of Tallulah, were held at 2 p.m. day at Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Crawford Williams officiating. Burial was in Providence Memorial Cemetery in Tallulah. Mr. Watts died Saturday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Jackson, Miss. after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Kentucky, a resident of Madison Parish for 58 years, a retired farmer and a U.S. Army veteran of World War I. Survivors include one son, John C. Watts, Jr. of Tallulah; one daughter, Mrs. David Ghrigsby of Tallulah; six sisters, Mrs. Faye Harmon of Tallulah, Mrs. Marie Jordan and Mrs. Margie Cox, both of Columbus, Miss.; Mrs. Beatrice Vance of Atlanta, Ga.; Mrs. Rilda Lester and Mrs. Lillie Leonard, both of Harrodsburg, Ky. and five grandchildren. Pallbearers were Lloyd Rogan, George Rogan, Robert Craft, Ray Jobe, Terry Craft and Clement Dahlhauser.
