Webb Jr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, August 25, 1967 Services Held Wednesday For R. C. Webb, Jr. Funeral services for R. C. Webb Jr., 54, prominent planter and member of the Madison Parish Police Jury, who died unexpectedly Saturday night of a heart attack while visiting in Branson,Missouri. Services were conducted at 10 a. m. at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Hurt officiating. Burial followed in the family plot in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Vicksburg. Mr. Webb was a resident of Delta, La., in Madison Parish. He was a deacon and trustee of the First Baptist Church and a member of the Police Jury since 1944. He was a former president of the Madison Parish Cattlemen Association. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eleanor Mills Webb, two daughters, Mrs. Perry Sutcliffe of Waco, Texas, and Mrs. Bill Grimes of Fort Worth, Texas; a son, Robert C .Webb, III, his mother, Mrs. R. C. Webb, Sr., and a sister, Mrs. E. E. Howard, all of Delta, La. Active pallbearers were Rufus Yerger, R. N. Graves, D. D. Wood, A. L. Yerger, Walter Jones, William Greeson, Russell Sprague and Y. M. Yeates. Honorary pallbearers include deacons of the First Baptist Church, members of the Madison Parish Police Jury, Dr. George Webb, Dr. Lucian Ferris and L. E. Levee.
