"Bill" Welch - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal December 18, 1991 Funeral services for Mr. William A. "Bill" Welch, 86, were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ed Smith and Rev. Duewayne Tullos officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery. Mr. Welch died Monday in the Madison Parish Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born in Crystal Springs, Miss. and had lived in Madison Parish for 55 years. He was a retired blacksmith and farmer and a member of the Parkview Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cleo Welch of Tallulah; one daughter, Fanny Grantham of Florence, Miss.; one son, John Welch of Hunter Heights; one sister, Ruth Sykes of Jackson, Miss.; two brothers, J. D. Welch of Harrisville, Miss. and James Welch of Flora, Miss.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Donald Collins, John Howard Watts, Billy Wayne Smith, Carl Williamson, Keith Munn and Cleve Mathis. Honorary pallbearers were Kevin Munn and John Donnell Welch.
