Whetstone - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 17, 1985 Services for Mrs. Elizabeth A. Whetstone, 81, were at 10 a.m. Friday at Trinity Episcopal Church in Tallulah with the Rev. Ed Robertson officiating. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Woodville, Miss., under direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mrs. Whetstone died Wednesday at Madison Parish Hospital after a short illness. A Charleston, Miss., native, Mrs. Whetstone had lived in Tallulah for 47 years. She was a former teacher at Woodville Elementary and Tallulah High schools. Mrs. Whetstone was a member of Colonial Dames, Daughters of the American Revolution, Episcopal Church Women and Trinity Episcopal Church. Survivors include her husband, Glen Whetstone Sr. of Tallulah; two sons, Glen Whetstone, Jr. and Charles Whetstone both of Woodville; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Grandsons served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Scott Middleton, Jerry Wade, R. E. Fowler, Malcolm Sevier, Joe Carpenter, Cy Katzenmier, Jack Millikin, and Dr. L. P. Neumann.
