Whittington - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 27, 1977 Funeral services for David L. Whittington, 56, of Tallulah, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the United Pentecostal Church with the Revs. S. T. Donaldson and Arnold Eason officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Winnsboro under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mr. Whittington died Thursday night at St. Francis Hospital at Monroe after an illness. A native of Franklin County, Miss., Mr. Whittington was a resident of Madison Parish for 20 years. He was employed at Chicago Mill & Lumber Co. for all those years and was a member of the United Pentecostal Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Annie Whittington of Tallulah; two sons, Larry Whittington and Dwayne Whittington, both of Ridgecrest; six daughters, Mrs. Pat White of Winnsboro, Mrs. Sandra Jones of St. Joseph, Mrs. June Smith of Monroe, Miss Barbara Whittington, Mrs. Phyllis Whittington, and Miss Lori Whittington, all of Tallulah; two brothers, Walter Whittington and Frank Whittington, both of Ferriday; and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Cain of Eudora, Ark. and Mrs. Sena Ferrington of Jigger. Pallbearers were Jack Pugh, Virgil Thornton, Jessie Davis, Theo Watson, Payton Carney and Steve Myers.
