All rights reserved. *********************************************************************************************** Edwin Ray Williams Madison Parish, LA Published in The Monroe News-Star (LA), Monday, December 3, 1973 TALLULAH - Funeral services were to be at 2 p.m. today for Edwin Ray Williams, 20, of Tallulah, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Crawford Williams officiating. Burial was to be at Providence Memorial Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mr. Williams died in an automobile accident Saturday night near Sheridan, Ark., when the car he was driving crossed the center line of U.S. 167 and side-swiped a tractor-trailer rig, State Police said. The accident occurred about six miles south of Sheridan. A passenger, Eloise Beggs, 34, of Colt, was taken to Sheridan Clinic. A native of Jackson, Miss., he resided in Tallulah for the past 16 years. He was a graduate of Tallulah High School last year. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Williams of Tallulah; two brothers, Don Williams of Key West, Fla. and Bobby F. Williams of Tallulah; one sister, Mrs. Amy W. Poscy of Shreveport. Pallbearers were to be Steve Moncrief, Mark Holmes, Howard Zigler, Tommy Williams, Lynn Laughman, Stuart Mobley III, Allen Williamson and Carl Hill.
