All rights reserved. ************************************************ Hattie Bell Daffin Williams - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post October 24, 2001 TALLULAH - Hattie Bell Daffin Williams died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001, at her home. She was 84. Mrs. Williams and her husband owned and operated Williams Cleaners from 1936 until 1994. She was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Sr. and Annie Bell Daffin; a son, Martin Williams Jr.; a brother, Willie Daffin; and a sister, Lela Mae Daffin Sampson. Survivors include her husband, Martin Williams Sr.; seven daughters, Maude Williams of Los Angeles, Hazel Williams-Larkin of Atlanta, Veverly Lewis of Randallstown, Md., Linda Newson of Maryland, Evetta Spencer and Bettina Williams, both of Somerset, N.J., and Joyce Williams of Tallulah; two sons, Thomas Joseph Williams of Tallulah and Donald Williams of Las Vegas; three sisters, Carrie Daffin Campbell, Edythe Daffin White and Yvonne Daffin Oliver; two brothers, Joe Daffin Jr. and Johnny Daffin; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives. Services were Oct. 20 at Mount Olive Baptist Church In Tallulah with the Rev. Dennis Redden Sr. officiating. Beckwith Golden Gate Funeral Home in Tallulah has charge of the arrangements.
