Williamson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Monroe News-Star November 15, 1973 TALLULAH — Funeral services for Chester R. Williamson, 57, of Tallulah were to be at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah with the Rev. Crawford Williams officiating. Burial was to follow in Providence Memorial Park Cemetery here. Mr. Williamson died Tuesday night in the Veterans Hospital at Jackson, Miss., after a long illness. A native of Forest, Mr. Williamson, had been a resident of Madison Parish for the past 41 years. He was a farmer, a veteran of World War II and a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mattie Dee Williamson of Tallulah; one son, Douglas Allan Williamson of Tallulah; five brothers, Estus, Carley, Cordes, Jesse and Huey Williamson, all of Tallulah; two sisters, Mrs. James Walker of Oak Grove, and Mrs. Evon Purvis of Transylvania.
