Ed Williams - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Evening Post June 19, 1948 T. E. WILLIAMS DIES; PROMINENT TALLULAH MAN Retired Funeral Director Was Alderman Of Louisiana Town TALLULAH, La. June 19 -T. Ed Williams, 68, prominent resident of Tallulah; died here early today after a lingering illness. He was a retired funeral director, and for many years outstanding in civic affairs of the town. He was a member of the board of aldermen, was a veteran of the Spanish-American War, a member of the board of stewards of the Methodist Church, a member of the Masonic order and a Shriner and a past President of the Louisiana Funeral Director Association. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jean Brown Williams of Tallulah; his mother, Mrs. O. W. Williams and a brother, O. E. Williams of Philadelphia, Pa. He was born in Alto, La. and had resided in Muskogee, Okla. and Monroe before coming to Tallulah. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Tallulah Methodist Church with the Rev. John F. Kilpatrick officiating. Interment will be in Silver Cross Cemetery with Masonic rites at the graveside. Thomas Funeral Home is in charge. Active pallbearers will be Johnnie Stocks, Jesse Anderson, Robert Brown, M. W. Washburn, B. P. Price and Zach Chambless.
