Williams - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post March 14, 2009 TALLULAH — Velma A. Williams died Thursday, March 12, 2009, at the West Monroe Guest House in West Monroe, La. She was 82. Mrs. Williams was born in Florien, La., and had lived in Tallulah for 60 years. She was a housewife and homemaker. She was a member of Acts Tabernacle Church of Tallulah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd D. Williams. Survivors include fours sons, Floyd David Williams of Vicksburg, Jimmy Joel Williams of Calhoun, La., Kenneth Arnold Williams of West Monroe and Edwin Allen Williams of Tallulah; one daughter, Betty Ann Eason of Monroe; two sisters, Zelma Armstrong of Silsbee, Texas, and Dorothy Weems of Crowville, La.; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Acts Tabernacle Church with the Rev. Greg Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at Harris Cemetery in Crowville. Visitation will be from 7 until 9 tonight at the church. Pallbearers will be Winston Williams, Nick Nichols, Lloyd Fondren Jr., Seth Nichols, Seth Williams and Quinten Williams.
