All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Elizabeth Sledge Wilson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal June 9, 1999 Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Sledge Wilson, 85, of Tallulah, were held Tuesday, June 8, 1999, in the First United Methodist Church of Tallulah with Dr. Kirby Vining officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Mrs. Wilson died Friday, June 4, at her residence in Tallulah. She was born in Castor, La., and had lived in Madison Parish for 55 years. She was a retired elementary school teacher and a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law. Dr. Craig and Nancy Wilson of Ven Lomond, Calif.: two sisters, Jo McDowell, Shreveport, La., and Gyon Sledge, Castor, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Gary Arneson, Jim Sevier, John Earl Martin, Billy Ray Hodge, Wayne Hopkins, and John Wilkins. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Wayne Laird, Donald Collins, Bill Ziegler, Charlie Arneson, Jim McDaniel, and Robert Elrod.
