Wilson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal January 17, 1996 Johanna "Joey" K. Wilson, age 76, died Jan. 11, 1996, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, Jackson, Miss., after a lengthy illness. A Memorial Service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, Tallulah, on Friday, Jan. 19, at 2 p.m. Rev. Lillard Bevill and Rev. John Rushing will be officiating. Mrs. Wilson donated her body to LSU Shreveport School of Medicine. Mrs. Wilson resided in Tallulah for the past 12 years. Prior to moving to Louisiana she resided in California for 47 years. Mrs. Wilson was a devoted member of the United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's organization. She served as corresponding secretary for the past eight years. She recently received the U.M.W.'s 1995 Recognition Award and pin. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ellen and George Eustis, of California; sons Chris Wilson and Kevin Wilson of California, and son and daughter-in-law Robert and Lisa Wilson, of Ohio; grandchildren Kim Young of California, and Matthew, Dillon and Cole Wilson of Ohio. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Gretchen and T. W. Miller of Gulfport, Miss., and her brother Crayton Laughman of Tallulah. Since returning to Louisiana, she became a very special "aunt" and "grandmother" to the families of her nephews and nieces, Len Laughman and Bridget Scott of Tallulah, Belinda Stroud of Vicksburg, Susan Palazzo of Gulfport, Miss., Mike Miller of Orlando, Fla., and Diane Tracey of New Orleans, La. Mrs. Wilson leaves behind a host of family and friends she dearly loved.
