All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Jeannette Winston - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, March 3, 1977 Funeral services for Mrs. Jeannette Winston, 70, of Evanston, Ill. were held February 17 at Springfield Baptist Church there with the Rev. Emanuel Xxxxn officiating. Burial followed in Xxxet Memorial Gardens in Northbrook, under direction of House of Thompson Mortuary. Mrs. Winston died February 11 at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston after a long illness. Born in East Carroll Parish, she lived in Tallulah most of her life. She moved to Evanston in 1960. She was a member of New Morning Star Baptist Church in Tallulah and a member of Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Evanston. Survivors include four sons, Leo Samuel Winston and Lee Andrew Winston, both of Bellwood, Ill., Eugene Winston of Las Vegas, and Charles Edward Winston of Chicago; two daughters, Maudine Minor of Tallulah and Ruby Lane of Evanston; 38 grand children and 20 great-grandchildren.
