All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Edgar Carneal (Blue) Woodyear Sr - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, February 15, 1989 Funeral services for Mr. Edgar Carneal (Blue) Woodyear Sr, 82, of the Mound Community, were held at 10 a m. Tuesday in the Trinity Episcopal Church with Rev. John Van Deusen officiating. Burial was in the Silver Cross Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Woodyear died Monday in the Vicksburg Medical ('enter after a brief illness. He was a native of Roxie, Miss. and had lived in Madison Parish for the past 66 years. He was a farmer, a former Senior Warden and member of Trinity Episcopal Church, a past president and chairman of the board of directors of the Tallulah State Bank, a former member of the Fifth District Levee Board and was active in various other organizations in Madison Parish. He is survived by one son, Edgar Carneal Woodyear Jr of Mound: four daughters, Dorothy Anne Millikin and Emily Neumann, both of Tallulah. Susan Ingram of Monroe and Mary Gallent of Baton Rouge: 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Gary Strobel. Rufus Yerger Jr., Dr. Phillip Weinberger, Calvin Adams. Ricky Ainsworth, Scott Ingram, Len Neumann and Bill Yerger Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Ollie Cantrell, Henry C. Sevier Jr., Judge Cliff Adams, M. W. Washburn, Jim Gilfoil, J. W. Huckabay, John Terrell, Edgar Lott, D. D. Wood and Dr. Preston Herring. The family requests that any memorials be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, Tallulah Academy or a favorite charity.
