All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Christine Couch Worthington Madison Parish, LA From Monroe News-Star January 23, 2016 Christine Couch Worthington was born on December 24, 1924, in Tallulah, LA, to deceased parents James Newton Couch and Nellie Ann Florence. Christine passed away on January 20, 2016, at the age of 91 and will be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held on January 30, 2016, at 1:00 PM at Boone Funeral Home, Bossier City. She was a retired independent insurance agent and consultant, entering the industry as a bookkeeper for a Monroe agency in 1945. Most of her career was with two different agencies in Baton Rouge. Upon retirement in 1990 Christine moved to the Shreveport area to live with her sister Nita Collins. The last eight years Christine resided at Chauvin Pointe Senior Housing in Monroe. She passed away in The Columns Community Care in Jonesville, LA, under the care of All Saints Hospice Hospital.She was preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings: Lucille Thompson, Morene Smith Evans, Enola Hopkins, Juanita (Nita) Collins, Andrew Billy Couch, James Huey Couch and Gus Lee Couch. Christine is survived by daughter Kay W. White and husband Harold of Harrisonburg, LA, daughter Cindy W. Kumpa and husband Roland of Frisco, TX, and by son Gary I. Worthington and wife Eira of Watson, LA. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Kerry White and wife Lisa of Aledo, TX, Kristy W. Casal and husband Bernardo of Irving, TX, Keith Kumpa of Frisco, TX, Jonathan Kumpa and fiancé Chris of Arlington, TX, Cy Worthington and Jesse Worthington both of Livingston Parish, LA. There are also seven great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews who survive her.
