Fayette County - Janet Clark Wroten, age 66, resident of the Somerville Community and wife of Butch Wroten, departed this life Friday morning, April 10, 2015 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Wroten will be conducted at 6 p.m. Sunday, April 12th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Interment will be private. A visitation for Mrs. Wroten will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 12th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland.

 

Mrs. Wroten was born September 25, 1948 and raised in Tallulah, Louisiana. She moved to Memphis in 1970 and retired from Southern Cotton Oil after 29 years of service. She was later employed with the Memphis Police Department. She was a member of the Somerville Moose Lodge.

 

Mrs. Wroten is survived by her husband, Roy (Butch) Wroten; her brother, Jimmy Clark; her niece, Jessica Fisher; her nephew, J.B. Clark; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Birdie and Bruce Clark and her beloved Aunt Neece and Uncle Millard French.
