Madison Journal June 15, 1929 DIPLOMAS AWARDED TO 1929 CLASS OF T. H. S. The twentieth annual commencement exercises of the Tallulah high school was held Friday night, June 7, at the high school auditorium. Dr. W. B. Hale of L. P. I. at Ruston delivered the commencement address to the graduating class of 20. This was the largest graduating class in the history of the school. The awarding of the diplomas was by J. R. Linton, superintendent of the Madison Parish schools. The graduates were: J. T. Roy, Jack Bethea, Colyer Weathersby, Robert Spinks, Edward Yerger, George Webb, James Gilfoil, Jack Motley, Harrie Hue Devine, Cliff Adams, John Rickey, Annie Scurria, Hilda Sistrunk, Ruth Merrit, Josie McGraw, Mildred Wixson, Emily Bethea, Elizabeth Piper, Elizabeth Smith, Georgette Ziegler.
